Fluctuation

One of my favorite nearby hiking trails loops downstream from the the Bowl & Pitcher, to a hidden beach and then up to a bluff overlooking the Devil’s Toenail. I couldn’t help but notice the nuanced texture of the water in this upwelling. The pinkish orange color is a golden hour reflection of the bark of a Ponderosa pine on the opposite bank.
